Unsurprisingly, I will be postponing my book launch party to a later date when all this crazy stuff is over. I’m sad, but it is the right thing to do in these uncertain times, and we’ll have an even bigger and better party to celebrate at the right time – watch this space!
Having said that, I am still working on getting book number one completed as soon as possible and will be selling it through my website – so you don’t have to wait months and months to meet Dave and Darcy!
I will be introducing the two characters in the next couple of weeks on Facebook and Instagram while I work on finalising the content, getting proofs from the printer and then going full steam ahead with printing my first batch.
I also want to use my social media pages and website to provide useful resources, information and some form of entertainment over the coming weeks and months. Dave is coming home with his mate Gaelen next week, so I’m planning on starting ‘Dave’s Diaries’ to share his daily escapades. I’ll also figure out a way to share a couple of the line drawings from the book as a downloadable file on my website so those with printers can print copies for their kids to colour in.
I’m still so excited to publish my first book and any support you can give by liking and sharing my upcoming posts (especially when it’s out in the world) will be massively appreciated.
I should also mention that a percentage of the profits from book one will be donated to Cotswold RDA who have had a tough start to the year with the weather and now the virus. They will need lots of support in getting back up and running once this is all over, so this is part of the way in which I can contribute.
As always, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions for content that you’d like to see on my website or social media pages, please drop me a message or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Stay safe and I’ll see you soon x
